Hi, I’m Andrew Biss
I’m a professional blogger helping software developers become awesome at marketing; something developers traditionally hate to be associated with in any way whatsoever!
In the software industry since 1980, I started at an end-user company, moved into consulting and then on to enterprise software tool ISVs.
Working initially in the UK, I quickly gained broad international experience and have worked for UK, US, French and German companies.
My roles have included programming, analysis, design, development management, pre-sales, customer support and general management. Recent senior positions were VP International Business Development and VP Strategy and Marketing.
I took a deep breath in mid-2007 and became a professional blogger, founding ISVfocus.com Limited to serve as my publishing company.
To learn about blogging and the supporting technology I started with the ISV Survival blog, followed by paasTalk. Having learnt the ropes I added web video to my portfolio with the SellToCamera blog.
In March 2010 I launched the StoryComplete blog where I help software developers learn to create stories that spread, a process more generally known as marketing.
